Please read this
Everything published by SahajNidra — articles, newsletters, and social posts — is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, and it isn't a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare practitioner.
No practitioner relationship
Reading this site, subscribing to the Letter, or writing to us does not create a doctor–patient or practitioner–client relationship of any kind.
When to see a professional
Please talk to a qualified clinician promptly if you experience any of the following:
- Loud, persistent snoring with gasping or pauses in breathing
- Severe daytime sleepiness that affects driving or work
- Chest pain, palpitations, or breathlessness at night
- Insomnia lasting more than a few weeks
- Any sleep problem alongside an existing medical condition or medication
Traditional practices
Where we write about Ayurvedic or traditional practices, we do so as education about their history and the state of the evidence — not as prescriptions. Practices like breathing exercises or oil therapies may not be suitable for everyone; check with a practitioner if you're unsure.
Individual variation
Sleep is deeply individual. What the research says on average may not describe you. Nothing here guarantees any outcome.
